Dear Friend of the Sacred Heart,
The month of May has been dedicated by the Church to honor Mary. She has played an important role in our salvation. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church reminds us, she "is the Church's model of faith and charity."
Pope Benedict recently told us that Mary is our model and that we share her mission.
"With faith, Mary received Jesus; and with love, she gave Him to the world. This is also our vocation and our mission: to receive Christ into our lives and give Him to the world ‘so that the world might be saved by Him'" (John 3:17).
What a responsibility we all have - to accept Christ into our lives and to give Him to our world! Let us thank God for the gift of His Son and ask Him for the wisdom and grace we need to share Him with those we meet in our daily lives.On behalf of the Priests of the Sacred Heart, I want to thank you for your friendship. Through your generosity and prayerful support, we are able to share the message of Christ's love with those to whom we minister, especially the poor and the needy.
Be assured that you and your intentions will be remembered in our daily Masses and prayers.
May the Immaculate Heart of Mary watch over and protect you and your loved ones. And may her divine Son bless you with His peace and joy, today and always!
